Scientists from TSC SB RAS have proposed a cost-effective method to produce sialon
21 nov 2022A team of scientists from the Laboratory of New Metallurgical Processes (Tomsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS) led by Konstantin Bolgaru developed a cost-effective method to produce expensive sialon. This resistant and refractory industrial material has been proposed to be produced from cheap raw materials, such as ferroalloy production wastes. These results are reported in the highly ranked journal Ceramics International. -
Scientists from the Tomsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS have proposed a methodology for the formation of surface alloys
17 oct 2022Researchers from the Laboratory of Advanced Technologies (Tomsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS) have developed a new methodology for producing a wide range of alloys. They derived an analytical formula that can select the optimal mode of formation of such alloys using an electron beam. The scientists successfully validated their findings experimentally on the example of a zirconium-chromium alloy. The results of this work were published in the highly ranked journal Materials Chemistry and Physics. -

Delegation of the Tomsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS successfully completed its work at the Forum TECHNOPROM-2022
30 sep 2022The delegation of the Tomsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS worked in Novosibirsk at the IX International Forum of Technological Development TECHNOPROM-2022. As a result, a scientific and technical cooperation agreement was signed with the Siberian Federal Scientific Center for Agrobiotechnology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as promising contacts were established with large Russian companies, such as Nornickel, Gazprom, medical, construction, and shipbuilding companies.
