Researchers at TSC SB RAS have determined the optimal operational parameters for a cycloidal rotary engine
6 aug 2024Scientists at Tomsk Scientific Center SB RAS, in cooperation with colleagues from Beijing University of Technology, have calculated the optimal operating parameters for a cycloidal rotary engine. Using advanced numerical techniques, they pinpointed the most effective engine operation mode, maximizing efficiency with minimum of fuel consumption. These findings were published in the Energy journal. -
Scientists from Tomsk took part in United Scientific Councils of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences
3 jun 2024In Novosibirsk, meetings of 11 United Scientific Councils of SB RAS took place. Anatoly Maznoy – Deputy Director for Science at Tomsk Scientific Center of SB RAS – spoke at the USC on physical sciences, presenting a report on the modification of powder and granular materials by applying a rare-earth metal (REM) coatings. This implementation-ready result was achieved through successful collaboration of several scientific divisions of the Tomsk Scientific Center. -
TSC SB RAS researchers studied patterns and mechanisms of the formation of the surface alloys
20 feb 2024The results of a comprehensive study conducted at Tomsk Scientific Center SB RAS showed mechanisms of the formation of the W–Zr surface alloys. Based on the obtained results, a scheme was proposed describing the formation of the surface alloys (SAs) upon low-energy high-current electron beam (LEHCEB) processing. The study was published in Vacuum. -
A new nanopaticles based technology to manufacture environmentally safe filtering materials
11 dec 2023Scientists from Tomsk State University, Tomsk Polytechnic University and Tomsk Scientific Center of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences published a monograph “Materials with polyfunctional properties based on nanoparticles modified fibers” which presents an advanced technology for manufacturing nanofilters to purify liquid and gas media.
